The Pool is open again, we
look forward to seeing everyone swimming. If
you are swimming this week, don't forget to come
and see us and book into lessons, squad and club
for term 4.
Sign on day is Sunday 31st August,
but as thank you to those swimmers who supported
us over winter, we decided you can book in this
week and avoid the crowd on Sunday. Of
course if you would like to come and see us on
Sunday for a sausage sizzle and a free swim you
are more than welcome.

Hi all,
Can’t wait to spend the weekend at Chandler
again? Well here’s your next opportunity!
Entries close on Friday (22nd). Sorry I
haven’t given you more notice but some the weeks
keep flying by. Please could you let me know if
you want to enter any events by Wednesday. I fly
to NZ on Thursday so will need to send it all in
to Brisbane Swimming on Thursday morning.

Closure
- The school has closed the pool because there is
a problem with the chemicals in the pool. We
apologise for the inconvenience and as soon as the
school gives us the ok, we will be resuming
lessons and squad.

Have you visited to pool lately?
If you have, you will have noticed all the works
going on. It's so exciting to see things
finally happening. I can remember the
redevelopment plans being talked about for ages, and
now thanks to a lot of people including Lyn
Morrison and Blair Rainbow, things are moving along
nicely.
The office is moving to the deep end,
the canteen is being extended (and fitted out with
some lovely stainless steel goodies), and a deck is
being added out the back gate. With the
renovations going all in several areas it means that
we have tradesmen and tools everywhere, so please
keep you children away from these areas.
Hopefully our Learn to Swim and Squad
sessions will not be disrupted too much during this
process. We will do our best to keep any
disruption to a minimum and thank you for your
patience.

2008 Heritage Qld
Short Course Championship
The next SQ event is the 2008
Heritage Qld Short Course Championship on 30-31
August 2008. Please click
here for the full program. If anyone is
interested, entries need to be in by Monday 11th
August. The events are for ages 10yrs to
Open. Please check the qualifying times in the
programme for each event. If swimmers are
unsure of times they can contact Kate Gibson on

Sign on Day
Term 4
I know it only seem like
yesterday you were signing up for term three, but
it's time to start thinking of term 4 already.
Sign on day
for term 4/club will be
AUGUST 31st, so please
mark it on your calendar.
I will be taking
Learn to Swim bookings earlier for financial members
that are swimming in term 3. These families
will also be able to join club and re-enrol for
squad early and avoid the sign on day rush!

Bookings will only
be taken when payment is made in full*.
