Incentive Scheme
Aim
The incentive scheme
provides a fun and motivational element to the club and is
designed to offer encouragement to all, regardless of
ability or age. It promotes self-improvement and is aimed to
reward quickly throughout the season.
How they work
The scheme relies on the
parents to help with the nominations of their own children
for various awards. Nomination forms are available at the
back of the child’s record book (all the information on a
blank piece of paper will suffice). When you feel your
child is eligible for an award, nominate the child on the
form and give this to an official in the announcer’s box on
Friday night. Alternatively you can place it in the
nomination box to be colleted. This will be checked on the
computer and the award will be presented usually on the
following Friday night. If the nomination is incorrect or
not successful, this will be discussed with you as soon as
possible.

Bravery Award
This is awarded for a
swimmers first swim with the club. There is no need to fill
out the nomination form for this award, just ask at the
office. This award is a certificate.
Advancement Award
This is awarded for
advancing from 25m to 50m in any stroke. A nomination form
is required, see child’s record book. The award is a
certificate.
Trainer of the
Week
Each week a swimmer will
be chosen who has tried hard, met a challenge, has
demonstrated sportsmanlike or civic minded behaviour, or who
needs encouragement in some way. They will receive a
backpack, vouchers, a swim star cap (while they last), as well as having a photograph
of themselves and the head coach appear on the web page.
