A new
Head Coach, a new Club committee, a new paint job, new
heaters for the pool and new Club shirts.
I see
this season as a fresh new start for the Swim Club. I am
very excited to introduce our new Head Coach, Anthony Mcleod.
He will undoubtedly prove to be an outstanding addition to
our Club and is looking forward to promoting the development
of our learn to swim youngsters right through to our senior
swimmers. We are lucky to also retain Dan Atkins who will
continue to provide an elite triathlon training program. So
it is a season when the Club can diversify a little but
maintain a key focus on our Wilston swim team.
For
swimmers and parents, our Club has always upheld a friendly
and enjoyable atmosphere in and around the pool. This season
will be no different and I look forward to working with our
wonderful committee. They have worked hard over the winter
months to ensure all aspects of the pool and Club are ready
for the exciting new season.
Many of
the changes you will see around the pool are the result of
the dedication and work of the previous committee. A special
mention must go to Michael Powell and Justin Wilson who put
together a competitive Lord Mayor’s Sustainability Grant to
install heat pumps at the pool. The Club was awarded this
grant and the pumps will result in a significant reduction
in the heating costs of the pool.
So throw
on a new Wilston Crocs shirt and enjoy the new season. We
look forward to supporting all Crocs at club nights and
carnivals and celebrating your efforts whether you reduce
your PB or not!
Be proud
to be a Wilston Crocodile!

I am very excited to be
the Head Coach of the Wilston Crocs Swim Team. Swimming has
been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. I am a
3rd generation swim coach and the experiences and
opportunities swimming has given me over the years have
strengthened my passion and knowledge for this great sport.
I believe open and
honest communication between coaches, athletes and parents
is an essential part of a successful swim team. It is my
goal as Head Coach to create a positive and rewarding
environment where each individual swimmer has the
opportunity to progress and achieve their own personal
goals.
I look forward to
meeting you all, so please come down and say hi or give me a
call, I am always happy to discuss any part of the swimming
program. It’s going to be a great season of exciting racing,
new experiences, effective training and loads of fun.
