Welcome Address
The Wilston Swim Club again starts this new
season with a promotion. The Brisbane Swimming Association
has reorganised the Premiership divisions and the Wilston
Crocs have been promoted to Division 2. This is a
significant step up and reflects the hard work, dedication
and strength of our swimmers and coaching staff.
At the end of each swimming season individual
competitive swimmers times are put into a National database
under the JX Development Scheme and ranked according to
defined times for each level of achievement. Last season 20
Wilston Croc swimmers attained awards, five of whom attained
the highest level, Congratulations again to all for such
outstanding results.
Last
season was a fantastic year with many achievements, PB’s and
records broken and we are now looking forward to the new
season 2011/12 and all its new challenges and rewards.
It was also with much satisfaction
that the inaugural winner of the ‘Kate Gibson Trophy’ was
awarded to the Purcell Family.
Get into the Croc’s spirit by showing your
colours - wearing your Swim Club shirt and cap – we stand
out!
Go the Wilston Crocs!

Message from the
Head Coach: Anthony McLeod
Hello and welcome everyone to another exciting season of
swimming. Last summer the Wilston Crocs swim team again
enjoyed great success in the pool. After a long cold winter
the memory of great racing and numerous records being broken
at club champs is still fresh. And this year we will again
attempt to create an environment where all swimmers are
encouraged to strive to perform at their best and are
supported
and praised for their efforts.
This season we are continuing to make improvements to the
swimming program at Wilston Swim Club. We are adding more
classes in the afternoon to our ever growing learn to swim
program to help families attended swimming classes’ at the
most convenient time for them. We are also recruiting and
training more instructors so we can continue to offer the
highest quality swimming coaching and teaching possible.
I
look forward to adding another chapter to the Wilston
Swimming Club’s long history of giving children and adults
the opportunity to enjoy all the benefits our great sport of
swimming has to offer.
